spring

My art theme for this month is Spring- as it seems that spring has fiiiinaaly arrived!

So what I am doing is going out every morning and taking some pictures, from those pictures I will create some art pieces. Right now I'm combining blockprinting with a bit of stencil and some all-over painting with a brayer. The art has the look of old wallpaper. I am using old laminate countertop samples (the backs) to print on, they already have a convenient hanging hole, and it's a nice way to reuse them. I chose to do a "seed" theme for this one, as it corresponds with this weeks illustration friday theme! (which I will attempt to submit my picture to).
